The primary goal with the project UST (Universal Selection Tool) was to create a system independent, SQL Server based and easy to use, data selection tool. The first customer was using Intentia MovexSMS as CRM system, and was not satisfied with the way they could produce mailing lists for campaign based on certain criteria's. UST is a program that uses and maintains a "Visual Model" of the relations between different SQLServer based systems, in order to make it easy to create advanced, cross server queries.

Project details:

The basis of the project was to create a web interface to the existing commercial support system HEAT, with the requirement that the system should work offline, and no local web server should be necessary. The result was a distributed java application server, with an integrated web server. The system gradually became more complex, and the customer decided after a while to stop using HEAT and extend the web based system (called TST) to handle all tasks that HEAT previously did. The system was extended and refined during 2001 and 2002, and is used today to handle customer support, product division support and product release management. It is build up of several synchronized application servers around the world, and is currently (apr 2004) used by about 400 individuals daily, including partners and distributors.

Design and development of client/server-based system for mobile order entry. The client application runs on a Nokia 9000 Communicator (GEOS RTOS). The application was written in C++, and contains a compact product and customer database along with an easy to use GUI. The phone communicates automatically with the server software, which is a bridge between the phone and the AS400 based business system. The salesperson can send the order immediately after registration, that way the customers have their merchandizes the day after. The system is still in use (2004-04), not only by the client but also by its sales agency.
